Northeastern Illinois University ABE-LINC Program - Northeastern Illinois University - El Centro

Northeastern Illinois University (NEIU), in partnership with Chicago State University (CSU), Advancing Broadband Equity through Learning Intermediaries Neighborhoods in Chicago (ABE-LINC) program offers Digital Skills training and Device Distribution to adults who live in targeted neighborhoods within a 15-mile radius of CSU. Language support available in Spanish and English. ABE-LINC staff trains and provides guidance around, 4 key skills to foster household broadband adoption: Basic digital skills and literacy (e.g., introduction to devices, broadband technologies, and popular applications) Digital conduct (e.g., online safety, privacy management, responsible social media practices)Digital navigation, online resources and tools (e.g., education/training, employment search, healthcare, etc.)Device distribution and Internet equipment (e.g., introduction to service plans, government, community resources, and enrollment support)
