The Cradle's services to expectant parents serve all of Illinois and Indiana, offering free, non-judgmental, and confidential support to people experiencing an unplanned pregnancy or adjusting to life with a newborn. Their experienced counselors provide information, resources, and support to empower people to decide what is best for themselves, their children, and their families. Compassionate counselors help expectant parents and new parents explore all of their options, including adoption, recognizing that everyone's situation is different. In the event that parents choose an adoption plan for their child, their counselor will walk them through the process, including choosing and meeting a family. It doesn't matter how far along you are-it's never too early or too late to reach out. Firman Community Services provides a case manager and comprehensive support for pregnant women and infants up to the age of one. Patients receive pre- and post-natal care, program referrals, insurance registration and assistance, immunizations up to the age of one, well-baby visits, home visitation, diapers, formula, CTA fare, food pantry access, quarterly baby showers, baby clothing, support group meetings, and access to emergency funds when available.
