They develop meaningful and relevant programs based on the needs and interests of our participants. Their programs are designed to enhance independence, develop critical skills, and foster a sense of community for seniors who are blind or visually impaired. This program is functioning via telephone programming as well as some in-person programming.

Services include visual, developmental, and occupational therapy, as well as optometric examinations through our Low Vision Clinic, social work, and psychological services.

Second Sense offers a variety of support groups that focus on both support and training for individuals who lost their vision. Second Sense has a traditional support group (RP Meet Up) and several unconventional groups that you may want to consider. Second Sense's traditional support group (RP Meet Up) is for active adults who are adjusting to vision loss. This group meets on the second Saturday of the month. The Apple Exchange group is for individuals who share an interest in Apple iPhones and iPads. They meet on the second Thursday of the month.
