Responsible for the organization, administration, training and operation of the all-volunteer Emergency Management Agency. The Agency coordinates County and State resources in the event of an emergency or disaster. Members not only respond to residents in the event of an emergency, but also make themselves available to assist with community events that require traffic direction or crowd control.

Emergency Preparedness and Response Planning
City Offices of Emergency Services
Plans for, responds to, and assists in the recovery from any major emergency or disaster that may impact the citizens and services within the Village. Serves as the main coordination point between all emergency services in Plainfield.
Coordinates county fire, police, ambulances, and volunteer base in the event of disastrous emergencies; coordinates with State and Federal Emergency Management Agencies as needed.
Volunteer emergency officers are trained in areas such as CPR/First Aid, emergency response, security, traffic control, etc.
Coordinates municipal disaster response to flood, tornado, issues with the water supply, or any other emergency affecting the entire city or a large segment of the city of Aurora.

Prepare members with the training and proper resources to respond to an emergency or disaster, assists in recovery efforts following a disaster, and assists in mitigation to help reduce the effects of disaster situations.
