Electronics recycling is available for residential customers only. Accepts the following items: - All types of radios. - Blenders. - Cameras. - Cash registers. - Computers. - Copiers. - Curling irons. - Fax machines. - Hair dryers. - Laptops. - Microwaves. - Monitors. - Peripherals. - Phone systems. - Printers. - Televisions. - Toaster ovens. - Scanners. - Small appliances. - VCRs. The following items are also accepted: - All forms of electronic media and their cases (diskettes, zip disks, CDs, CD-Rs, CD-RWs, DVDs, game cartridges, DAT, DLT, Beta or Digibeta, and virtually all other type of computer tapes) - not audio or video tapes. - All forms of printer cartridges, including both inkjet and toner. - All types of cell phones, pagers, PDAs and their chargers, cables and headset accessories. Note that cell phones and chargers can be dropped off at the Police department for re-use by victims of domestic violence. - All small computer accessories, such as MP3 players, iPods, digital cameras, hand-held scanners, hand-held games, and other connected devices. Non-Accepted Items: - Large Appliances. - Items containing Freon (air conditioners, dehumidifiers). - Light bulbs. - Items containing liquids. - Batteries (AA, AAA, D, C & lithium. Note: Batteries can be recycled at retail battery stores). - VHS Cassette Tapes. - Audio Tapes. - Medical Equipment. - Gas Cylinders.

Fulton County households can recycle electronics, paint, and other recyclable items at the Health Department. No "stripped" items (those with cords or other components removed) can be accepted. Household batteries and CFL light bulbs are not accepted. Recyclables are accepted at the 3-car garage in front of the Health Department. If there is not an employee at the garage to log your items when you arrive, please check in at Room 100. Do NOT unload recyclables if Health Department staff are not available. If you cannot lift the item(s) you are recycling yourself, please bring someone with you to help. Health Department employees are not allowed to unload heavy items.

Jackson County Recycling Program provides various recycling services, including four locations for free drop-off of paper, cans, and bottles, one location for free drop-off of electronic items, and periodic events to shred confidential documents and to collect paint, motor oil, and other household chemicals.
