Esperanza Health Centers operate a number of Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) that provide behavioral healthcare including individual therapy and social-emotional groups. Individual therapy is provided 1-2 times per month. Appointments are 30 minutes and are geared toward short-term treatment. Behavioral health counselors do not prescribe medication but conduct a brief assessment and refer to a psychiatrist or primary care provider with recommendations for medication.
