The center is a valued resource for students conducting research, adult residents preparing resumes and searching for jobs online, and senior citizens having access to the Internet.The multi-function center is used by college students, job seekers, and seniors alike, who gain instruction and training in topics ranging from basic computer use to job searches and how to write a resume. The Computer Resource Center, which also provides other services that make it a multi-purpose resource center, is located at 5814 S. Wood Street at Growing Home's Urban Farm & Training Center.

The Salvation Army's Employment Services Program provides workforce and job placement. It serves individuals from various communities throughout Chicago. Eligible Chicago residents aged 18 and over can receive job readiness training, employment counseling, including job referrals and placement, paid on-the-job training to transition into the labor market, and direct placement. Program orientation takes place on the first and second Monday of the month. They are partners with the CTA Second Chance Program, Second Chance Renovations, Amazon, and Eco Direct Laundry & Cleaners.

The Chicago Lighthouse's Veterans' Employment Empowerment Project is designed to assess job readiness and provide on-the-job training to Veterans seeking employment in customer service roles. The Institute for Nonviolence Chicago job readiness program prepares participants with the skills, tools, and techniques to obtain, keep, and excel at a new job. Participants will develop communication, problem-solving, resume-building, interviewing, and soft skills.This program is 12 weeks long and provides a weekly stipend of $200. The group meets in person Monday through Thursday for 2 ½ hours a day. On Fridays, they meet remotely.
