Eye Care
Lurie Children's Division of Ophthalmology provides treatment and care for a full range of pediatric eye disorders, eye trauma, and vision problems. The division consists of ten board-certified ophthalmologists with fellowship training in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus and three optometrists with interests in pediatric care and low vision.
The Chicago Lighthouse offers a multidisciplinary approach to vision care that integrates specialized care centers and complementary services. Their care centers feature optometric services, psychological support, and assistive technology, with additional services ranging from occupational therapy to clinical research. Their process supports cooperation across disciplines in the assessment and treatment of their patients.

The Seniors Program helps people 65 and older by matching them with local eye doctors who volunteer to give a medical eye exam, usually for free. If any eye problems are found during the first exam, the program offers up to one year of follow-up care for free, covering the doctor's services.

VNA recommends an annual eye exam for patients of all ages. Annual exams can detect eye disease early, and early treatment can prevent more-serious problems. Patients may qualify for a free exam and a free pair of glasses through a grant from Lions Club District 1J.
Provides free eye care and new eyewear in Luxottica’s chosen retail stores to those in need. All patients are pre-selected by local charities based on visual and financial need. Eligible patients can receive glasses free of charge.
JenCare Senior Medical Center provides specialty health care services to the senior community. Transportation to and from appointments is available by request. Pharmacy services are available on-site.

These programs include: - Benefit Access Applications. - SHIP (Senior Health Insurance Program). - Real Estate tax reductions. - Medicare Part D counseling. - SNAP, LIHEAP, and other state and federal programs. - Assistance with hearing. - A small reserve of funds for occasional GAP funding for emergency needs.

St. Bernard Hospital and Health Care Center's Ambulatory Care Center 70,000-square-foot center promotes wellness and prevention with its Immediate Care Clinic, Women's Wellness Center, and state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging services, as well as spacious medical offices of pediatricians and other specialists. The onsite laboratory and pharmacy make it easy for patients to get their tests and prescriptions. The ACC is a one-stop healthcare facility.
