Develops and enforces regulations and provides environmental education. Information provided on topics including Bed Bugs, Pollutants, Natural Disasters, Pesticides and Hazardous Waste.
Provides information on issues related to indoor and outdoor air quality and water wells. Well Water Testing: Offers well water testing for homeowners who use well water as their primary source of drinking water. Air Quality: Provides information on indoor and outdoor air quality, including ozone and ozone action days & the Clean Air Act. Offers radon testing kits; investigates inquiries about leaf and, or open burning. Helps students with service projects related to the environment.
Provides case management and environmental health services to children and pregnant women with higher than normal blood lead levels. Services include: - Child assessments - State-required environmental health investigations - Public health nurse and environment health referrals - Education and prevention of lead poisoning
Provides complete care to children from birth to age 18. Services include: - Developmental assessments - Hearing and dental screening - Basic vision testing - Immunizations - Lead testing
