National Federation of the Blind of Illinois (NFBI) - Chicago Chapter provides scholarships for low-vision and blind college students who are residents of Illinois. All scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic excellence and service to the community.
The AMVETS organization has many programs that are available to support Veterans and their families. These include grants, scholarships, awards and honors, and volunteer opportunities. To support its programs, AMVETS collects used items to sell. A truck will pick up donations from a home or other setting. They also have trailer sites for donation drop off.
