Provides in-home support services to help prepare children under the age of three for preschool. Provides activities and education to ensure the child meets developmental milestones. Also offers monthly group classes for participants, and prenatal classes for pregnant mothers.

Home visiting program that provides the following services for families expecting a baby and families with young children: - Child development education and activities. - Promotes school readiness. - Community resource referrals. - Developmental screenings. - Group connections offering family activities and support from other families. - Lending library which offers toys, puzzles, and children's books to check out. - Family events.
Offers weekly class for children, birth to three years of age, and their caregivers. Helps children develop social skills, practice cooperative play, and bond with their caregiver.
SGA, by way of funding through Start Early, offers Early Head Start and Head Start programs. They use the 'Parents as Teachers' home-based curriculum, which focuses on motor coordination, language and literacy, and social-emotional and cognitive learning through an individualized approach. Services include parent workshops on childcare, health, and transitioning to kindergarten, as well as weekly group socializations and field trips.

The Early Learning School Time Parent Cooperative partners qualified teachers with children and their parents with three 90-minute sessions per week plus a day of parent workshops.

The Center serves parents of, and professionals who work with, young children with special needs through STAR NET Region II, including North and West Suburban Cook, DuPage, Kane, Lake, and McHenry counties in Illinois. Services include a broad range of resources and information for parents and professionals, including workshops, on-site presentations, technical assistance, and funding for training.

Educational readiness programs are geared towards fulfilling the following functions in the lives of low-income children and families: - Intervene in the lives of children who are under-performing in school and struggling in other areas of life. - Collaborate with teachers and schools in order to best meet the academic needs of at-risk children. - Assist needy families through charitable provisions. - Appraise children's household dynamics and help them to overcome socio-emotional challenges. Homework Assistance Program: Comprised of tutoring sessions for children between the ages of 5 and 12. Primary purpose of this program is to reduce learning delays among elementary students. Students enrolled in this program are offered the following services: academic tutoring and personal assistance with homework and assignments. Computer Technology Training: Enables children to explore and navigate various computer software programs which promote strong vocabulary and math skills. Program also helps children improve their reading comprehension and critical thinking abilities. Literacy Skills Enhancement: Enables children to develop their vocabulary, writing, and reading skills. Children are introduced to a literacy-rich environment filled with resources such as books, dictionaries, menus, recipes, labels, calendars, etc.
Early Childhood Professional Learning (ECPL) provides a broad range of early childhood professional development and support services through its program. The Early Childhood Developmental Enrichment Center (ECDEC) and FIND Prevention Initiative provide infant and toddler home visits and preschool to more than 1,200 at-risk families in the northwest Cook County (Illinois) region.
