Provides free legal services to low-income renters facing housing problems. Offers legal aid for: - Evictions - Terminations from subsidized housing - Conditions/repairs - Other lease disputes Program does not represent landlords, homeowners, or assist with fair housing cases.
Offers financial aid to help Township residents avoid loss of home, job, or utilities. Funds are available once every two years and provide help to meet basic needs, including: - Preventing eviction or past due rent/mortgage - Preventing utility disconnection - Work-related expense necessary to getting or keeping a job (for example, uniform or licensing fees) - Cost of prescription medication *Amount of assistance determined on a case-by-case basis. *Program does not disburse cash; all funds will be paid directly to vendors.
