Resiliency Services - New Life Centers - Little Village

The resiliency services team is composed of two departments: victim advocacy and case management. Victim advocates walk with families and individuals directly affected by violence. They attend to the physical, emotional, financial, and spiritual well-being of victims on their journey towards healing. Case managers work with participants to achieve their employment, educational, and housing goals. They provide connections to community resources, intense engagement, advocacy, and mentorship.

Violence Prevention - Main Office

Chicago Cultural Performing Arts & Media Alliance has developed a comprehensive violence prevention strategy where neighborhood institutions and community leaders come together to coordinate resources and services to make a safer community. Street outreach workers will be employed to mediate conflicts and prevent retaliatory violence between those who are at risk to commit or to become the victims of firearm violence. Victim services workers/advocates helps families and victims of violence recover from physical and emotional trauma caused by the violence by empowering them with skills, services, and opportunities. Case management services also offered.

Medical Sexual Assualt Advocacy - Northwest Center Against Sexual Assault - Arlington Heights

Northwest Center Against Sexual Assault offers medical advocacy 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at hospital emergency rooms. Whenever a survivor presents at the hospital for treatment, the hospital calls the hotline, and an advocate is sent out to sit with the survivor. The advocate offers emotional support, provides information on sexual violence, and gives any necessary referrals.

Chicago Survivors provides support for family members of victims of homicide through crisis response, case management, counseling, family support, and accompaniment. Family members may be accompanied by a liaison in hospital or medical examiners' office settings. Chicago Alliance Against Sexual Exploitation (CAASE) provides free legal services for survivors of sexual assault, sexual stalking, and sex trafficking with any background or identity who were harmed in Cook County, IL, and are aged 13+. The attorneys assist survivors in criminal and civil matters.CAASE cannot accept cases involving criminal defense, divorce, custody, property in common or other family court issues, immigration, or cases that involve survivors who do not want to participate in a legal process, even if they are minors. If CAASE can't assist you, they will try to connect you to another attorney and support resources.

Violence Recovery Services - Heartland Human Care Services - Bridgeport Office

Heartland Human Care Services' Violence Recovery Services (VRS) provides a continuum of services, including counseling, case management, and parenting education to individuals and families who have been impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault or abuse, or community violence and trauma. Participants can attend weekly sessions from 45-60 minutes per appointment. VRS is funded by the Department of Family & Support Services (DFSS), Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority (ICJIA), and White Sox Charities-McCormick Foundation, and United Way Neighborhood Grant (Brighton Park) and all services are free of charge.
