Offers curb-to-curb transportation for older adults and individuals with disabilities via car. Offers rides for medical appointments, errands, or visits to Dickinson Hall. Also offers taxi cab discount coupons for older adults. Provides up to 16 coupons in a 30-day period.
Offers rides to seniors and individuals with disabilities residing in Deerfield. Excludes trips to and from the airport.
Offers taxi cards for older adults or people with disabilities. Each card has a value of $8 and clients can receive up to sixteen subsidies per month. Subsidies are automatically loaded in the card at the beginning of the month. Cards may only be used at American Taxi or 303 Taxi. Note: Ride subsidies will not roll-over from month to month. If your metered fare is more than $8.00, you are responsible for the remaining amount, as well as any tips you wish to include at the time of travel. The ESC may not be used as a tip. Taxi companies will only be reimbursed for the metered fare. If an ESC is lost or stolen, please notify the Village of Vernon Hills immediately. The first ESC is provided at no cost; replacement cards cost $5.00 per card. Rides are subject to driver availability. Cards may ONLY be used with the following taxi companies: American Taxi 303 Use of an ESC by someone other than the resident to whom the card is issued will result in revocation of the ESC and suspension of the resident from the program.

Village of Deerfield offers the Taxi Subsidy Program to Deerfield residents aged 65 and older and/or to those with documented disabilities. Registered participants are provided with up to 50 one-way coupons each month. When a coupon is provided, in-town trips cost the rider only $1. For out-of-town trips beginning or ending in Deerfield, presenting a coupon will take $5 off of the metered fare. Trips to/from the airport are not covered by the Taxi Subsidy Program.

Participants must be able to get to and from van without assistance of driver. Caregiver may ride with participant. Offers up to two round trips per week. Taxi-Cab Coupons: Provides taxi cab coupons for seniors and adults with disabilities. Coupons may be used for one way rides to and from Highland Park Hospital and are valued at $4.25.

Township will subsidize half of your taxi fare up to $10.00. Township boundaries do not follow municipal or zip code boundaries. Elk Grove Township offers a $5.00 discount for taxi rides to Township Senior citizens (55+) and disabled residents (18+). All registered and approved riders will be issued a debit card. Each swipe is worth $5.00 and can be used once for a one-way trip. Taxi rides will be through the 303 Taxi in Mount Prospect.
New Trier Township provides registered riders with discounted taxi fares. Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, residents call a designated taxi service, make a reservation for their trip, and receive a reduced rate compliments of New Trier Township. Applicants will be issued a booklet containing 20 vouchers, each valued at $6. Instructions accompany the vouchers including which taxi companies accept vouchers and how to receive additional vouchers.
Village of Berkeley offers Senior Coupons in partnership with American Taxi Dispatch. Each coupon book has a $10.00 value. The senior pays the Village of Berkeley $5.00 for each coupon book. Seniors may use any combination of cash and coupons to pay the full fare to the driver. The driver will turn in the coupons redeemed to American Taxi to be reimbursed. American Taxi will then bill the Village of Berkeley. Coupons can be used for any trip including airport trips. In order for trips to qualify, they must either start or finish within the Village of Berkeley.
Norwood Park Township seniors are able to purchase discounted taxi cab coupons. Purchase a book of coupons for $10.00 and receive $20 in taxi fare. Coupons must be used with the contracted cab company provided: Bob Fallot 773-297-2699 (contact Bob for route info).
Palatine Township provides senior and disabled residents with Taxi Voucher Cards. Taxi Voucher card swipes are worth $4.00 off the metered taxi fare. Only one voucher card swipe can be used per ride. After the card is swiped, the rider is responsible for paying the balance of the remaining fare and tips. Participants are allowed 10 voucher card swipes per month. Voucher card swipes do not carry over from the previous month.
Village of Northbrook offers residents who are 55 years or older or disabled an affordable transportation option. The program utilizes an electronic swipe card (ESC) to offset the metered fare of using a local taxi. At the beginning of each month, 16 ride subsidies are automatically loaded to the participant's ESC. Each ride subsidy has a value of $5. Ride subsidies will not roll over from month to month. Cards may only be used with the following taxi companies: American Taxi, 303 Taxi, and BriteLift (for ambulatory transportation).
Village of Hoffman Estates offers the Taxi Discount Program free for Hoffman Estates residents that meet certain eligibility criteria. Registrants can receive up to $70 each month in taxi discount coupons at no cost. Each coupon is worth $7 off a one-way ride with any taxi company participating in the program. Each ride must begin or end in the Village.
Village of Schiller Park offers the opportunity each month for seniors and disabled residents to purchase up to four books of taxi coupons (for $5.00 each) that each contain $10.00 worth of coupons that can be used with participating taxicab companies. Therefore each senior or disabled resident can buy $40.00 worth of coupons (that's 4 books worth) for a total of $20.00 each month. These books can be purchased at the Village Hall front counter during normal business hours (Monday-Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm and 9:00am to 12:00pm on Saturday).
Village of Hillsdale offers its senior residents a 50/50 taxicab reimbursement program. Unlike other village government bus or taxi programs that limit travel to within the village limits, Hillside's program allows residents to travel anywhere in Chicago and the suburbs. Coupons can pay for the entire fare, including the tip; or residents can use the coupons for the fare and tip the driver in cash. The coupon allows residents to bring up to three friends of any age on their trip at no additional cost.
Leyden Township provides for qualifying residents to purchase the cab books coupons that help subsidize the cost of riding a local taxi. Seniors or Disabled residents pay $10.00 per coupon book (a value of $20.00). There are ten $2.00 coupons in each book. Seniors are allowed 1 book per month but may receive 2 with a doctor's note. Coupons are good until their expiration date.
Village of Forest Park offers coupon books to all Forest Park Senior Citizens and disabled residents to help subsidize the cost of using Pace Bus or Blue Cab services.
Northfield Township Dial-a-Ride is a program that provides discount coupons to Northfield Township residents with permanent disabilities (age 18 and over) and income-eligible senior citizens (age 65 and over) for use with participating taxicab companies. Qualified residents will receive an ID card, a set of 20 taxicab coupons (valued at $5.00 each), and contact information for taxicab companies that participate in the program.
Village of Glenwood offers vouchers to residents who are seniors or have a disability to help subsidize the cost of using local taxi services. Rides must be scheduled through Zip Transportation Services, (708) 499-3333, to be eligible.
Village of Buffalo Grove offers elderly and disabled residents a $2.50 discount on all meter fares originating or terminating in Buffalo Grove in partnership with American Taxi and 303 Cab Company. Participants must call American Taxi at 847-253-4411 or 303 Cab Company at 847-291-0303 to schedule a ride. Upon entering the taxicab, the rider must inform the driver that the trip is being made at the Buffalo Grove Taxi Program rate and shows the driver the identification card. The driver will record the origination and destination of the ride along with the date and their driver number on a voucher for later submission to the Village for reimbursement of the $2.50. The rider pays the discounted meter fare and signs the voucher slip with his/her signature and ID number. There is no limit on the number of rides a resident may take per month.
