Senior Ride Program - Village of Berkeley - Main Office

Village of Berkeley offers Senior Coupons in partnership with American Taxi Dispatch. Each coupon book has a $10.00 value. The senior pays the Village of Berkeley $5.00 for each coupon book. Seniors may use any combination of cash and coupons to pay the full fare to the driver. The driver will turn in the coupons redeemed to American Taxi to be reimbursed. American Taxi will then bill the Village of Berkeley. Coupons can be used for any trip including airport trips. In order for trips to qualify, they must either start or finish within the Village of Berkeley.

ELEVATE PROGRAM | WORKFORCE CONNECTION, THE

Provides assistance to out-of-school youth who are overcoming barriers to employment that might include lacking skills to obtain high school diploma, high school equivalency certificate, low income, homelessness, involvement with the judicial system, transportation barriers.

Participants spend half their time in academic programming and half in learning skills in construction or urban agriculture, including building or rehabilitating housing for low-income families.

Leadership development involves classes, activities, and leadership positions within the organization, providing a foundation for preparing youth to play important roles in their communities.

Taxicab Coupons - Village of Schiller Park - Main Office

Village of Schiller Park offers the opportunity each month for seniors and disabled residents to purchase up to four books of taxi coupons (for $5.00 each) that each contain $10.00 worth of coupons that can be used with participating taxicab companies. Therefore each senior or disabled resident can buy $40.00 worth of coupons (that's 4 books worth) for a total of $20.00 each month. These books can be purchased at the Village Hall front counter during normal business hours (Monday-Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm and 9:00am to 12:00pm on Saturday).
