Provides short-term assistance involving basic necessities and resource help with budgeting. A home visit will be required. Cash is not provided, bills are paid by vouchers or certificates. Can provide furniture as well as certificates for grocery items not available at food pantries or through the LINK (food stamp) program.

Provides various household items to individuals and families in need, including kitchen items, bedding items, and small appliances. Also provides furniture vouchers to families in need of larger furniture items and appliances.
Individuals in need can receive a furniture voucher to Central Illinois Christians in Mission.
Provides a temporary financial aid program for those who are not qualified for state or federally funded aid. Assists eligible persons in providing for their "basic needs" including: - Rent. - Utilities. - Food. - Household/Personal Essentials. May provide: - Bus passes. - Basic burial expenses if the decedent was receiving General Assistance at the time of death. Designed for single individuals who DO NOT have legal custody of children under the age of 18. Promotes employment and self-sufficiency with a minimum work program requirement.

Resells clothing, toys, and household items to the general public. Clients in financial need may request vouchers to receive clothing or household goods. Bag days are generally the last Friday of the month and anyone coming in can fill a bag full of clothing for a reduced price. All proceeds from sales in the Thrift Store are utilized for assistance to those in need. Items may include: - Clothing (Men's, Women's, Teen, Children's, Baby). - Shoes/boots. - Coats, hats, gloves, mittens. - Games, toys. - Housewares: dishes, glassware, serve ware, pots and pans, silverware, kitchen utensils, small appliances. - Craft goods: knitting yarn, knitting needles, crochet thread, needles, needlework kits. - Books, records, DVDs. - Domestics: linens, curtains blankets, comforters, tablecloths, draperies, etc. - Furniture: Dressers, tables, Chairs, sofas, bed frames, end tables, shelving, mirrors, etc. - Back packs. - Large appliances: refrigerators, freezers, stoves/ovens, washers/dryers, air conditioners, dehumidifiers, microwaves. - Home health items: shower seats, wheelchairs, canes, etc.

Offers a variety of services for men, women, and children who are low-income or homeless. Gives guests a safe place to be during the day with heating and cooling. Services include: - Computer Learning Center, including access to computers, email, phones, word processing and a copier. - Referrals to community resources, and case management to provide advocacy. - Job search assistance. This includes help writing, typing, editing and printing resumes; assistance with online job searches and applications; and assistance with interviewing skills and job development through Will County’s Job Force Development Council, IDES and Illinois Skill Match. - Individual training on navigating the internet and using email. - Education on adult daily living skills. - Housing information and assistance with rental applications. Specialized intakes are available for veterans and people with disabilities. - Medical and social referrals to medical facilities and social service agencies. - Emergency vouchers for clothing and furniture are redeemable at the Treasure Chest Thrift Stores.
