A general emergency assistance & case management program for those experiencing or at risk of homelessness. Assistance includes: - Birth certificates. - Photo ID. - Bus tokens. - Gas Vouchers. - Clothing Vouchers. - Food. - Basic household furnishings (for the very recently homeless). - Case management. - Prescription Expense Assistance.

Thrift shop with a variety of clothing, household items, and furniture for low cost. Items may be provided for free depending in emergency circumstances (such as for people who are unemployed or survivors of a fire).

Chicagoland Habitat for Humanity operates ReStores in the Chicago region where one can find donated overstock and second-hand items like furniture, appliances, home decor, and building materials, all at 50%-80% off the original retail value. Proceeds support Habitat's work to build and preserve homes for hard-working, low-income families.

Items may include: - Clothing (Men's, Women's, Teen, Children's, Baby). - Shoes/boots. - Coats, hats, gloves, mittens. - Games, toys. - Housewares: dishes, glassware, serve ware, pots and pans, silverware, kitchen utensils, small appliances. - Craft goods: knitting yarn, knitting needles, crochet thread, needles, needlework kits. - Books, records, DVDs. - Domestics: linens, curtains blankets, comforters, tablecloths, draperies, etc. - Furniture: Dressers, tables, Chairs, sofas, bed frames, end tables, shelving, mirrors, etc. - Back packs. - Large appliances: refrigerators, freezers, stoves/ovens, washers/dryers, air conditioners, dehumidifiers, microwaves. - Home health items: shower seats, wheelchairs, canes, etc.

This program is geared towards veterans who have moved back into housing after being homeless. A team of veterans deliver furniture, food, and household items to help the veteran family transition into housing security.

Nutritional supplements such as Boost and Ensure are also available to the client. Young Men's Educational Network's (YMEN) comprehensive programs offer a wide range of educational support, mentoring from positive role models, spiritual and emotional guidance, vocational classes in the arts, career-based and entrepreneurial education, sports and recreational activities, family supportive services, and service learning to more than 300 students annually.
