Provides various items and assistance to those in need who complete the intake and verification process. Directs 26 different "Gap ministries" to cover various community needs. It is not an emergency response organization and time is taken to make sure the needs are legitimate. All intake procedures are done over the phone. Assistance is only provided if funds/donations are available for the specific need. Gap ministries include: - Kitchen supplies. - Furniture (dressers & shelves, tables, chairs, dining sets). - Beds. - Bedding & linens. - Clothing. - Bicycles. - Toiletries.

Clothing for children, blankets and sheets, as well as small kitchen items.

Individuals will be given a bag filled with toiletries and household / cleaning supplies. These items may change on a monthly basis based on need and what is donated.

Provides residents with free household goods. Clients are referred by social organizations, schools, and churches in the Decatur area. Clients must provide their own transportation. Operating costs and household goods are provided by people and organizations in the area. Donation pickup can be arranged for a small donation to offset transportation costs. Receipts are given for all gifts, as they are tax-deductible.

Blessing Barn takes in donations from the community such as clothes, shoes, linens, baby accessories, toys, and household items, then gives those same items away at no cost to those in need. Everyone must register.
