STARTING POINT - MONEY MANAGEMENT | MACON COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT
Promotes and prolongs independent living for individuals who are at risk of losing their independence due to the inability to manage their financial affairs. The program utilizes volunteers to make home visits to the older person's home in order to assist with things such as check writing, bill paying, checkbook balancing, and general money management. The program is funded by the Illinois Department on Aging if eligibility is met for the Community Care Program. There is also private money management services offered, and the Macon County Health Department is bonded and insured.

Eligibility
Low-income persons ages 60 and over who have difficulty budgeting, paying bills, and keeping track of financial matters. Private Pay Money Management Program available for seniors whose income/assets exceed maximums or for people under 60.
