Expectant/New Parent Assistance | ONE HOPE UNITED - Healthy Families Program
Provides in home support and parenting information to parents through home visits. Visits begin during pregnancy (or before your baby turns three months old). Can last as long as you want them up to five years. Families may also be eligible for doula birth support. Doula home visits must start between 25-29 weeks of pregnancy and end when your baby is about two months old. Supportive topics are individualized and may include: - Prenatal health - The changing body - Pregnancy and childbirth education - Labor and delivery - Newborn care - Soothing a crying baby - Child development - Nutrition - Medical and dental health - School readiness - Accessing community resources - Identifying strengths and family needs - Promotion of positive parent-child interaction
