Description

WIC is a supplemental nutrition program that provides nutrition education and food instruments (coupons) to women who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or postpartum; infants ages newborn to 1 year; and children ages 1 to 5. Coupons may be redeemed for milk, cheese, juice, cereal, and eggs, and formula is provided for the non-breast-feeding mom. During the summer months, farmers market vouchers are offered. Breastfeeding peer counselors are available.
