CAREGIVER ADVISORY PROGRAM | CRIS HEALTHY AGING

Provides supportive services to unpaid caregivers and relatives raising children. These services promote healthier aging and seek to prevent long-term care placement of older adults. Services offered include: - Information about legal rights. - Supplemental services to complement caregiver services. - Assistance and information about gaining access to community resources. - Support groups, education, and counseling for caregivers. - Respite care for the caregiver.

Eligibility

Caregiver Advisory Program: - Indivudals providing unpaid care for an older adult (age 60+). - Older adults (age 60+) caring for an adult with disabilities (caregiver can be a parent). Grandparents raising Grandchildren: - Individuals 55+ caring for a grandchild or other relative under the age of 18. - Must be living with the child. - Caregiver cannot be a parent.
