The AARP Foundation is AARP's charitable organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for all, with an emphasis on those 50 and older, and especially for those at social and economic risk. Provides programs to advance this goal as well as legal advocacy for age-related issues. Programs and services: - Back to Work 50+. - Connect2Affect. - Experience Corps. - Senior Community Service Employment Program. - Tax-Aide Program. - Work for Yourself@50+. Back to Work 50+: Offers free workshops, coaching, and resources that can help older adults compete in the current workplace. Connect2Affect: Working to create an understanding of loneliness and isolation, draw attention to this issue, and catalyze action to end social isolation among older adults. Goal is to create a network of resources that meets the needs of anyone who is isolated or lonely. Experience Corps: A community-based volunteer program that empowers people over 50 to serve as tutors to help students to become better readers by the end of the third grade. Senior Community Service Employment Program: Assists low-income unemployed individuals age 55+ find work. Tax-Aide Program: Provides free tax help to older adults with low to moderate income. Work for Yourself@50+: Assists older adults with exploring self-employment options to increase their financial stability.
