Adult/Child Mentoring Programs | CATHOLIC CHARITIES - Lake County Youth Mentorship Program

Provides adult companionship, guidance, and/or role models for youth. Mentors and mentees make plans together based on their own interests. Activities may include: - Arts and crafts - Movies - Attending ball games - Playing sports - Picnics in the park Also hosts quarterly events the mentors and mentees may RSVP to attend.

Eligibility

For mentors: - Must be a United States citizen who is 21 years or older and go through a background and driving record check. Must also be a Lake County resident, own their own car, have car insurance, and 3 years driving experience. For mentees: - Must be ages 9-12 years old and have access to a computer and feel comfortable communicating virtually through Zoom or Google Hangouts. Also must be able to meet with a mentor 1-2 hours per week for 1 full calendar year and desire a mentor.
