THERAPEUTIC RECREATION AND INCLUSION SERVICES | ROCKFORD PARK DISTRICT
The Therapeutic Recreation team of the Rockford Park District is committed to providing community-based recreation to promote the development, maintenance, and expression of a meaningful leisure lifestyle to people with disabilities. The team delivers services promoting and/or providing access, inclusion, specialty recreation, leisure education, and skill development. Offerings: - Adapted sports. - Summer camps. - After school programs. - Sport skill development. - Social clubs. - Community outings. - Cultural arts. - Inclusive opportunities. - Leisure education. - Life skills. Also offers Inclusion Services: Individuals with disabilities are welcome to participate in the same recreation programs and activities as their peers. Reasonable accommodations are provided to enable an individual's successful participation in a program.

Therapeutic Recreation: Residents of Rockford, Freeport, and Belvidere receive resident rate. Individuals residing outside of these areas receive a non-resident rate. Inclusion Services: No fees. Financial Assistance: Eligible participants may qualify to receive 50% off program fees.
