Programs serve youth, adults, and families living primarily in Auburn Gresham, Ashburn, Brainerd, Englewood, Chicago Lawn, and surrounding communities

Application process

Individuals can walk in, contact (773) 718-2518, or be referred by a partner agency. A brief intake is completed to understand needs and assign a case manager or program track. Participants are connected to URA programs or linked to partner organizations for additional services.

Fees

Most services are free and open to residents regardless of income

Urban ROOTS Alliance (URA) is a community-based nonprofit serving Chicago's South and Southwest sides with trauma-informed support, workforce development, violence-prevention programming, and family stabilization services. Their mission is to help individuals and families move from crisis to stability through hands-on outreach, skill-building, and wraparound support.
