Description

Youth Guidance's BAM is a school-based group counseling program that guides students in 6-12th grade who identify as male to learn, internalize, and practice social cognitive skills, make responsible decisions for their future, and become positive members of their school and community. BAM integrates clinical theory and practice, men's rites of passage work, and a dynamic approach to youth engagement.

Youth Guidance provides trained staff that works directly with schools, parents, and families to meet kids where they are-physically within schools, socially, and emotionally-and help them break cycles of violence, overcome life and academic obstacles, make positive choices, and remain on the right path towards life success. Youth Guidance is offered at schools across Chicago.
