REGIONWIDE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM | WESTERN ILLINOIS REGIONAL COUNCIL

Provides academic scholarships to lower-income students at a trade school, community college, or university. Scholarships range from $1,500 to $5,000. Scholarship funds may be used for tuition and fees, textbooks and supplies, or room and board. Scholarship awards are made directly to the college or university financial aid office for use as-needed. Offers the following scholarships: - Scholastic Scholarship. - Trade School Scholarship. - Nathan Cobb Memorial Scholarship.

Eligibility

Scholastic Scholarship: - Resident of Hancock, Henderson, Knox, McDonough, or Warren County. - Have earned a high school diploma, GED, or will be graduating from an accredited high school or GED administering institution. - Have been accepted into an Illinois college or university, community college, or occupational training program on at least a half-time basis. - Meets income requirements. - Answer the short essay question included with the application. Trade School Scholarship: - Resident of Hancock, Henderson, Knox, McDonough, or Warren County. - Have earned a high school diploma, GED, or will be graduating from an accredited high school or GED administering institution. - Have been accepted into an Illinois college or vocational trade school on at least a half-time basis. - Meets income requirements. - Answer the short essay question included with the application. Nathan Cobb Memorial Scholarship: - Resident of McDonough County. - Have earned a high school diploma or GED. - Have been accepted into a college, university, community college, or occupational training program as a full-time student. - Meets income requirements.
