Provides one-on-one emotional support to adult cancer patients and their caregivers. Each of CHN's 400+ volunteers is at least one year post-treatment, or successfully undergoing maintenance therapies. Offers encouragement through treatment, and hope that there is life after a cancer diagnosis. Volunteers represent more than 80 cancer types and speak 15 languages. TACT - Talking About Clinical Trials - The TACT program matches a person who is being offered a clinical trial for cancer with someone who has participated in a clinical trial. This provides the opportunity to ask and get answers to many of the questions only someone who's gone through the decision-making process can answer. Being matched with a TACT volunteer can help separate fact from fiction, myth, and misinformation.
