Eligibility

Open to older adults ages 60 and older, for transportation individuals must be able to get into the vehicle on their own (may use walker, not a wheelchair), for phone calls and visits individuals must have a reliable phone to confirm appointments

Application process

Call to request an intake assessment, if eligible at minimum of 3 weeks a volunteer will contact for more information, once individuals are in the faith in action's system a one-week notice is required to schedule appointments

Description

Provides senior care services. Services include transportation for medical or dental appointments, grocery shopping (twice per month), light home repair or maintenance, friendly visits and phone calls (twice per month). Volunteers may be matched with a care receiver for companionship and support.
