Eligibility

This service is for individuals who are experiencing homelessness. You must be willing to complete an interview at time of intake and to receive the Gospel of Jesus Christ four times daily before meals. Additional requirements are as follows:-Cannot be a registered sex offender-Must be ambulatory (no wheelchairs)-No major mental disorders i.e. schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, or schizoaffective disorder. -No electronic monitoring from Dept. of Corrections or a county jail

Application process

This service is walk-ins only. Men's shelter is on a first-come, first-served basis Monday through Friday, it is recommended you arrive between 7:00am to 7:30am to have the best chance of receiving services. Pacific Garden Mission makes their best effort to not have to turn away women and children, and accepts walk-ins for their women's shelter 7 days a week from 7:30am to 8:00pm.

Description

Pacific Garden Mission operates both a men's shelter (536-bed capacity) and a women's shelter (204-bed capacity). Both shelters come individually equipped with showers, a library with computers, transient guest day rooms, and provide clothing and three meals a day. Current residents also receive access to their 90-day addiction recovery program which includes individual and group counseling with Certified Alcohol and Drug (CAD) counselors, case management, and onsite medical care. Additional services include employment assistance, case management, bible and parenting classes, abuse support groups, and medical services.
