Description
Children's Research Triangle (CRT) offers free training via an 8-hour course designed to help participants recognize the symptoms of common mental illnesses and substance use disorders; strategies to de-escalate crisis situations; and how to initiate timely referrals to mental health and substance abuse resources available in the community. The training is designed for people who have contact with youth ages 12 and over who are at risk of developing mental health disorders. Training can be done virtually or they can travel to other places.
