Animal Control Services provides for: - Registration of all dogs and cats - Microchipping - Rabies control low-cost spay/neuter program available. This program is funded by the State Differential Fees that are collected for each unaltered pet in Whiteside County.

Spay/Neuter program: $15 co-pay.

Eligibility

In order to be eligible for the low-cost spay/neuter program, one must: - Be a resident of Whiteside County. - Own a dog or cat. - Be eligible for the Food Stamp Program or the Social Security Disability Insurance Benefits Program. (A copy of a Notice of Decision, Statement of Benefits, or a letter from a local food stamp office is acceptable proof of eligibility). If eligibility requirements are met, client may participate by filling out a voucher and return it to Whiteside County Animal Control. Upon approval, the voucher will be returned to the client. The client would then take the approved voucher to a participating veterinarian at the time of his or her pet’s appointment.
